The Star Theatre at Nanty Glo was opened in the early-1910’s, and presented both moving pictures and live performances. The theater was built and originally operated by J. J. Conrad. By the mid-1920’s it was being operated under lease by movie exhibitor William Gallo. The Star Theatre was destroyed by fire on January 8, 1929.
