it was a sorry theatre from what I could see,,i guess they drive to Knoxville for movies..lots of folks live there..
The Carmike Movies 2 in La Follette closed in February, 2015. A January 23 report from ABC television affiliate WATE said that Carmike’s lease on the theater would be up on February 19, and that the building would then be converted into a new home for The Harbor, a community church.
thanks for a picture i have few, took some thru the glass door place looked like dump.really needs work or a new cinema..
Here is a 2010 photo.
June 4 1981 and these big films are selling out.But remember these are small houses.“THE HOWLING” is staying another week along with a very weak Jerry Lewis movie,“HARDLY WORKING”,bet they did not have anything better to book. Coming next was that Horrible “LONE RANGER” film.and the DISNEY “DEVIL and MAX DEVILIN”.Hopefully,“SUPERMAN II” saved the summer.
June 5 1980 and THE MOVIES has “DIRT” and “KRAMERvs.KRAMER” knowing that area i bet “DIRT” did better BO than “KRAMER” Saturday Late show and The Movies plays a X rated “FRUSTRATED WIVES” what is it with small towns and X rated movies!

“Dodgeball” was playing with “Spiderman”.I found the pictures i took and really the front of the theatre didn’t look that bad.I have seen worse.Admission was 3.00,not 2.50 but still a deal for first run.The inside was tacky .Checkerboard Square tiles Black and white in the ceiling and the same for the floor.
