The Pal Theatre in Fairfax, S.C. was a small little country theatre operating prior to 1941 and into the 1950’s. It was located on State Route 278, below the bomb plant. For years while traveling to Hilton Head, S.C. you would pass the Pal Theatre sitting off in a little courtyard section of the town. Basically, something you would see in a Frank Capra movie. I would see it all closed and a mom and pop video store opened and it didn’t last that long. Soon it was empty and the roof caved in and finally Fairfax had it torn down. Today, there is nothing but like a court yard. You would never know the Pal theatre was ever there. There are a lot of Pal Theatres in Georgia, but they did not operate this Fairfax theatre.
