Even though CMX Cinemas said that it would be “business as usual” after its bankruptcy filing in early July, this location closed at the end of July 2025:

CMX closed here on July 27, 2025 along with its Rochester Chateau location. Its parent company, Cinemex Holdings, USA had filed for bankruptcy for the second time in the decade on July 1, 2025. It had previously filed for bankruptcy protection early in the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 before re-emerging. It wouldn’t be surprising to see CMX trim back other locations during this second Chapter 11 period.

Current ownership should be Paragon Entertainment Group.

Pretty decent theater. Nice decor, a great brand new bar, and an ultra screen with a 21+ section featuring leather seats where the waiter runs by and asks if you want more drinks. The bar is my favorite though. I just wish they’d find a way to bring more people in.

The Cinemagic Atlantis 15 was designed by TK Architects. The Cinemagic is not featured on TK’s web site, but a few photos of it, mostly during construction, are featured on this page at the web site of Reward Wall Systems, the company which provided the ICF blocks that were used in the construction of the project.
