In the 1980’s there was a drive in on Highway 62 412.
As you leave the South entrance to Cherokee Village heading for Ash Flat, it would have been on the left side.
The back of the screen was visible from the highway and the projection booth/concession stand was up a small hill to the south. It was closed in the late-1980’s or early-1990’s. There is a house at the top of the hill now but the field/parking lot is still empty.

All I could find out is that the drive-in was not open in 1967.
Sure could use an address (the house?), a crossroad, and more info or photos.
This is the only drive-in I could find between those two citiies:

Hard to see, but shows up better in older views.
That’s the property Sam. I know it was open from at least 1978-1984 because I saw many films there as a kid. The Outsiders, Used Cars, Stir Crazy and FireFox that I can remember. We used to bring blow up rafts to lay on. Such a shame they had to close, as the weather down there is awesome for an outdoor theater.
There was no Drive-in here in 1956.

The drive-in is on the south side of US 412, roughly 1/5 mile southwest of County Road 65.
A better location…
The Drive-in was located southwest of the intersection of U.S. 62 and Kenner Road. The outline is still visible. There is a house behind where the theater stood but there is now a home in front of the property.
This either closed in the late 1980s or early 1990s. A 1994 aerial demonstrates its parking traces fading in.
