The Cimarron Theatre was located inside the Dewey Building in downtown Guthrie. It was opened on December 7, 1941 and closed in 1955.

The old State Theatre can also be seen on the right, now Mark’s Drugs.
Oops, State Theatre is actually to the left of the Cimmaron.
I remember the Cimmaron theater being on the nw corner of Division and Oklahoma. The State was in about the middle of the block. That would have been in the late ‘40s and early '50s. Showed third run movies, cheap.
My great-grandparents - Dudley R. Tucker I & Elizabeth A. Irwin-Tucker, owned this theater. My great -grandmother lived in the apartment above the theater.
The Cimarron Theatre opened its doors on Pearl Harbor Day, or December 7, 1941, with Cary Grant in “Gunga Din” (unknown if any extras added). The Cimarron Theatre closed in 1954 and was converted into a gift shop which opened the following year.
