The Moultrie Drive-In was opened in June 1948 and was built by the local entrepreneur and showman, Charlie Powell. It was Moultrie’s first drive-in theatre and held 300 cars. It was closed at the end of the 1956 season.

I just posted a photo of where this Drive In had been located. It was on Roland Drive, just off 1st Ave. S.E. (Quitman Hwy)
This was part of the Georgia Theatre chain.
Opened in June 1948, closed after the 1956 season.
A closer address is 16 Rowland Dr, Moultrie, GA.
The drive-in appears intact and perhaps operational in a 1956 aerial. But had been demolished by 1974.
Today, an EMC dispatch center sits on the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining.
