Located in central Paris, close to the Paris Opera House. The Salle Marivaux was opened on 15th April 1919. Originally a 1,250-seat single screen cinema with seating provided in orchestra and two balcony levels. By 1946 it had been re-named Marivaux Pathe.
It was re-modelled in around 1955 when a large wide-screen was installed. Elaborate sculptured panels were mounted on each side-wall beside the curtained screen. By 1984 it had been converted into 4-screens. It was closed in 1992.
