The Hilltop Theater opened in 1920. It was still operating in 1950. It became storage space for a novelty company. By January 2018 it was a bar, which had closed by May 2021. By 2024 it was in use as estate agents office known as Kentucky Select Properties.

Google’s a bit off on the Street View. The theater is just in from the corner of Frankfort and Pope, not Frankfort and William. Just throwing it out there.

This is now an amazing bar and lounge with food and cocktails made from scratch! We had an awesome exlerience here January 2018!
Was some hip and trendy dive bar, but now the property is available for lease.
During its final years as a movie theater in the mid-1950s, special events and concerts are also presented alongside its movie schedule.
