The Liberty Theatre was one of St. Petersburg’s earliest theatres when it opened in 1923. The theatre was an African-American theatre and likely very short-lived, as information on it is hard to come by. The building was demolished long ago, either for the old Webb’s City shopping complex or for overflow parking for Tropicana Field. The whole block is now a grassy field.
