Overview of auditorium taken from side circle on Monday 14th April 1935 the day before the official opening of the Majestic, hence the shrubbery in the orchestra pit. Showing the vast expanse with 2,200 seats devoid of any lighting hanging or attached to the walls, Eugene Mollo had an aversion to these metal carbuncles and mentioned this many times in the Kinematograph Weekly. As shown above even the exit signs were set flush into the wall above the doors.
