CineBistro @ Solaris Opened July 23, 2010.

Owned by Excellence Theaters in 1990.

Owned by Cobb Theaters of Birmingham, Alabama. Anyone know if this is the same as the old R.C. Cobb, Inc. of Fayette, Alabama?

Always looking for more info and photos.

Regarding Cobb, they operate more or less as a “new” Cobb. They are still based in Birmingham, but sold off their older chain, and now have have become a specialized chain of theaters like these CineBistros. They recently took over a struggling theater in downtown Orlando: View link

CMX Cinemas took on this location in a buyout of Cobb location in October 2017 as the CMX CinéBistro Solaris. It closed along with all of the chain’s locations for the COVID-19 pandemic on March 16, 2020. CMX then declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy one month later and tried to renegotiate many of its leasing agreements. CMX made the closure of the Solaris permanent in an announcement in July of 2020.
