The Galaxy Cinemas Chilliwack opened on November 19, 2010. This 8-screen cinema is owned by Cineplex Odeon seating 2,600. The cinema features stadium seating and has an UltraAVX screen.
With the opening of the Galaxy marked the doom for the longtime staple, the Paramount Theatre in downtown Chilliwack. It was closed in November 2010 by Landmark Cinemas.
