Mr. and Mrs. Bill McDowell leave Cherokee and the Max Theatre as winners. Not only does the theatre have the popular priced “Gone with the Wind” as they depart town like the wind, but the local merchants surprised the couple with a free ad promoting both their farewell and the film in February of 1941.
