Event Cinemas Castle Hill

Opened as Greater Union 6 on 29/8/1993 on the site of a demolished 2 storey shopping arcade(built in 1967) as part of the Castle Towers Shopping Centre expansion. Before it closed, it had in cinema 1 – 282 seats, cinema 2 – 255 seats, cinema 3 – 380 seats, cinema 4 – 448 seats, cinema 5 – 285 seats, cinema 6 – 202
seats. Closed in circa 1999 when the shopping centre expanded and upgraded with a new cinema complex opened 200 metres away, reopening on 23/9/1999 and renamed Greater Union Piazza Cinemas(2042 seats), with 10 screens. Renamed Greater Union Castle Hill(date unknown?) Renamed Event Cinemas Castle Hill in 2009. 16 screens in 2018(number of seats unknown?).
