The Crystal Theatre opened October 9, 1911. The 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory gave the address of the Crystal Theatre as 917 2nd Street SW, which would place the theatre at or near the corner of Gold Avenue SW. The Crystal Theatre was remodeled in 1921 to the plans of architectural firm Trost & Trost. It was still open in 1929, but had closed by 1931.

From Albuquerque a postcard view of Gold Avenue along with the Crystal Theater.
