Kingston S.E. Institute

The Institute was opened in December 1937. It served as the town cinema for many years - at least into 1957. All seating was on a single level floor. It was demolished in 2008.

The instttute bulding opening in(1870’s?). The building was demolished on 19/9/2008 after the Kingston District Council decided(by 6 votes to 5) not to save the 130 year old year old building.

The site is now a car park.
