Located in the Goshen Township section of New Philadelphia, OH. The Twilight Drive-In held 225 cars and opened on July 5, 1947 with Judy Garland in “Meet Me in St. Louis”. By 1950 it was owned by A.K. Veach. It was still open in 1955, operated by A.K. Veach & Co-Operative Theatres of Ohio. It was still open in 1977, but was closed in the 1980’s.

I used to visit family in and around this area in the early to mid 90’s. Don’t ever remember seeing any remains of this drive in.
Technically, the Twilite Drive-In. For those interested, you can go to historic aerials and enter the address 1538 Brightwood, New Philadelphia OH to see its spot that has the drive-ins footprint to 1985. Launched in 1947 and rebuilt/rebranded as the New Twilite beginning in 1967.
dallas is correct. 1538 Brightwood, New Philadelphia, OH will put you at the location of this DI. It is visible in both the 1960 and 1971 Historic Aerials. The 1994 one some traces of the ramps are still visible, after that all visible hints that a DI was once there are gone. A self storage place and a healthcare facility now occupy the land, as well as a road going right through the middle of it.

The Twilight Drive-In opened its gates on July 5, 1947 with Judy Garland in “Meet Me In St. Louis” (unknown if extras added, but a fireworks show was presented after the show). It was still open in 1977, but appears to have closed in the 1980s.
