Opened as a single screen theatre in the early to mid-1950’s with seating listed at 299. An additional screen was added in 1980 with seating increased to 498 for the two auditoriums. It has been operated as an independent by Terrace Theatres and later by Mr. Wm. Young. The theatre features first run attractions.

The Terrace Theatre opened in 1942 with 16mm projection, but was upgraded to 35mm projection in 1948. It was renamed the Tillicum Theatre in 1950 and the theater building was rebuilt in 1954.
