A fairly small drive-in serving a very small market. According to an article in the Benzie Record-Banner, it had an early opening on May 14, 1953 with Bud Abbott & Lou Costello in “Jack and the Beanstalk”. The last advertisement for it is in the August 25, 1954 issue of the Benzie Record-Banner. Most likely it could not compete with the larger Cherry Bowl Drive-In in nearby Honor, which opened on July 1, 1953. The site is now occupied by Holton’s Tri-Gas.

It amazing to me that it was only open for a short period of time. With all the money that was invested into it. You would think that it would have stayed open at least two years. Unless the owners ran out money and lost it.
Billboard, Sept. 5, 1953: “William Clark, Detroit, has taken over buying and booking of film for the new Night Sky Drive-In at Beulah, Mich.”
It looks like they were working on expansion when it closed, a 1954 aerial photo appears to show construction on more ramps at the back of the field.
Opened on 14/5/1953 with a colour cartoon(not named0, “Beaver Valley” and “Jack and the beanstalk”.
