Genossar Theatre
Tiberias

The Hotel Genossar was built in 1929 and included an adjoining theater. It is unknown when this theater closed.
Today, there are few cinema sites in Israel that have this level of beautiful yet tragic decay. The theater’s roof is long gone and, despite the intact exterior, the auditorium is hollowed out to reveal the sky and the skeletal remains of a classic pre-1948 cinema.

I can still quietly hear the echoing ghostly soundtracks bouncing off the walls… how sad!
