Jackson, Kentucky is a small town. It makes me think that the Med-O-Vue Drive-In parking 300 cars became the Charles Bowles Jaxon Drive-In sometime in the late-1950’s or early-1960’s. According to Boxoffice, September 7, 1964, the Charles Bowles Jaxon Drive-In had Eprad Theatre Supply install Golden Hot-Shot Car heaters.
John Robinson was the owner of the Med-O-Vue Drive-In when it opened on April 7, 1951 with Johnny Sheffield in “Bomba, the Jungle Boy” & “Shadow of the West”. It was still open in 1977.

okay,The book had that whole full name.
The location of this Drive-in now a mobile home park is just west of Taylor Drive on Old Quicksand Road. All that’s left are the trees that lined the theater property.
A more accurate address for Google Maps is Old Quicksand Road and Turner Drive, Jackson, KY. The drive-in was located just to the west and is now a trailer park.
The entrance road is now Yunk Street where it meets Old Quicksand Road, but I could not get that to map. http://tinyurl.com/zgg7yfz
Was there someone called Charles Bowles Jaxon?
John Robinson and Son launched the Med-O-Vue on April 7, 1951 grand opening of the Med-O-Vue Drive-In with “Bomba, the Jungle Boy” and “Shadow of the West.” The 200-car drive-in had RCA projection and speakers. In 1954, both the drive-in and the Robinson Roller Rink were auctioned off.
