The narrow entrance was located on Remsen Street between the Cohoes Hotel and the Masonic Building. Cohoes Opera House was opened prior to 1914. Later renamed Rialto Theatre, it was still open in 1941, but had closed by 1943. It has since been demolished and the site is a parking lot. The adjacent Masonic Building at 130 Rensen Street is still standing.

The Empire was located on Remsen Street on the second floor of a retail building. It was demolished by the mid 1960’s, and the property is now a park.
