The Mainstreet Theatre opened on March 1, 1933 with Joan Crawford in “Rain” (unknown if extras added).

Should be listed as demolished. Site is now a parking lot. Could we rotate the photo?

The Recent opening of the Mainstreet Theatre in Warrensburg, Missouri, was noted in the April 8, 1933, issue of Motion Picture Herald. The new house was owned by Dumond Christopher, and featured RCA high fidelity sound equipment.

The Main Street Theatre was first listed as open in 1937. It was still listed as open in 1957 with 291 seats.
