Boy, the Motion Picture almanac from 1956,ain’t much of an Almanac, that is what it had.
Found it. The Drive-In was located in “Midway” to the west of Rehoboth Beach at 34823 Derrickson Drive (Google). There is no trace of the drive-in left. https://goo.gl/maps/YqatW
The entrance was actually on the Coastal Highway, Derrickson didn’t enist when the drive-in was open.
The address for this Drive-in would be 18585 Coastal Hwy, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
Please update.
This address is Hooked Seafood and Martini Bar. This is where the entrance was located. The field with storage buildings east of this address is where the theater was located.
Opened on 23/6/1953 with “All ashore”. Closed in 1982. Site is now Midway Center Shopping Center, including an indoor cinema(Movies at Midway?).
Midway Motion & Fitness is the approximate location of where the drive-in was.
