Located in the Lane Cove, a district to the north of Sydney. The Rio Theatre was put up for auction in 1951. It was last operated by Acme Theatres Property Ltd. It was demolished and the site is now a tiny mall park.

The Rio was not on Longueville Road, it was on Burns Bay Road which terminates at Longuevlle Road. The final block of Burns Bay Road was landscaped as a mall park.
