Although technically demolished as a movie theater the building that housed the Buckhead Cinema still stands. Compare to the pictures of this theater when it was operating and you can see that the corner building and the attached theater building survived to be incorporated into the massive Shops of Buckhead development which was started in the early 2000’s. Everything to the south of the old theater location was demolished but the area sat cleared and vacant for years following the 2007 real estate crash.

In the following 15 years different developers have taken over the project and today, 2022, it is more or less completed although a far cry from its original grandiose concept of a high end destination shopping / residential mecca.
