This Terrace Theatre was opened by Wilby-Kincey/ABC Southeastern Theatres about the same time as their Ultravision Theatre (1969) It was located in the old Grant City North shopping center on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, while the Ultravison was in the Grant City West center on Sam Rittenburg Boulevard.

The design was the same as several that Wilby-Kincey was building at the time (Richland Mall-Columbia, SC…Cardinal-Raleigh, NC…Camelot-Myrtle Beach, SC) of 740-750 seats, 70mm capability, surround stereo sound.

This theatre opened around the same time as the ULTRAVISION THEATRE in Charleston around 1969.

The design was the same as several that Wilby-Kincey was building at the time that were ULTRAVISION theatres with seating capacities of 740-790 with full 70MM capability, and full Stereophonic Surround Sound in all auditoriums.

The Park Terrace Theatre in Charlotte was the first ULTRAVISION theatre in the Carolinas when it opened on May 28,1964 under Wilby-Kincey Theatres.
