The Millstream Drive-In opened on June 10, 1967. The opening feature was “The Professionals” starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Jack Palance, Ralph Bellamy and Claudia Cardinale. The second feature of the evening was “Born Free” with Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers. The 600 car capacity drive-in was built by Millstream Amusement’s Inc. which was a partnership of James R. Wiswasser, D. Neil Clark and Charles J. Hendricks.
It was sold to Findlay Theaters Inc. on October 6, 1967. Findlay Theaters Inc. was part of the Jack Armstrong Circuit. The theater was eventually sold to Stern Associated Theaters /Cinemette. In 1987 Cinemette was sold to Cinema World. It finally closed in 1990 and the drive-in was demolished and a Lowe’s Distribution Warehouse was built on the site.
