Opened my sophomore year at Virginia Tech, sometime around 1976-1977. It has two screens and the staff would check your purse or back pack to make sure you weren’t bringing in any food or drink. The Capri Twin Theatre had closed by 2013 and was demolished.

This theatre status needs to be changed from Open to Closed. The building was knocked down at least a decade ago while I was still a VT student, and a new building not related to the theatre was put in its place. The Capri Twin sign remained up for several years past demolition but when I was back in Blacksburg a few years ago, it looked like it, too, had finally been removed. To my knowledge there’s no theatre operating in or around that area now by that name …
