Super 51 Drive-In

Opened as Rainbow Drive-In on July 29, 1950 with the film “Geronimo”, starring Preston Foster and Ellen Drew. Located on Pittsburgh Road (PA 51), one mile north of Uniontown. Operated by C & W Amusements. Renamed Super 51 on June 16, 1952. It was closed September 12, 1954.

Fayette Plaza now occupies the former drive-in site.

This one did not last very long; the last known showing in the Uniontown papers was for Sunday September 12, 1954 (per Saturday’s paper)

Was still visible with projection/concession stand and screen intact in a 1962 Historic Aerial.
