The $100,000, 600-car West End Drive-In opened on July 18, 1952 as Spokane’s fifth drive-in. The opening double bill was Clifton Webb in “Elopement” and Tyrone Power in “Rawhide".
On March 23, 1960 the Spokesman-Review reported that Favorite Theatres had purchased the drive-in from E.W. Johnson, president of General Distributors.
The final operator was Sterling Recreation Organization (SRO) who had merged with Favorite Theatres in March of 1972. SRO closed the West End Drive-In after the 1983 season ended in September and it was later demolished.
