Located in Cleveleys, which today is a seaside suburb to the north of Blackpool, Lancashire. The Savoy Cinema was opened in November 1915, with 600 seats. It had a 22 feet wide proscenium and a small stage. There was a cafe and a ballroom attached.
In the early-1930’s it was equipped with a Western Electric sound system. By 1945, some enlargement had taken place as it was listed with 720 seats.
The Savoy Cinema was taken over by the J.F. Emery Circuit in 1951, and they operated it until it closed in 1963. Today an indoor market known as Victoria Market(which may be part of the original building) operates from part of the site.

The cinema was behind the half-timbered gable-end to the left. The projection room was at the rear of the stalls. On hot summer evenings a door out to the pavement would be left open for ventilation, and one could see and hear the projectors. The rear wall behind the screen faced onto the bus station.
