Opened on March 20, 1953 with Tony Curtis in “Son of Ali Baba” & Robert Ryan in “Horizons West”. The Sky-Line Drive-In was one of four drive-ins to exist in Richland, Washington, and the longest running.
Online posts from people who went there say it was the drive-in off of George Washington Way. An aerial shot of the drive-in shows the entrance off of Spengler Road.
It closed down and was demolished in 1975. Washington Square apartment complex and 7-Eleven are now in its place.

The Sky-Line opened its gates on March 20, 1953 with Tony Curtis in “Son Of Ali Baba” and Robert Ryan in “Horizons West” along with a cartoon, featuring an original 68x50ft screen. The projection booth was located 584ft away from the screen. It was first operated by Skyline Theaters of Newport and was first managed by Ray DiLorenzo.
Taking Spengler Street west from GW Way would take you up a hill for a birds eye view of the Skyline. When I visited in 1992, you could still see berms on the empty lot between the 7-11 and the apartments and broken pieces of the screen.
