The Roseville Historical Society says that the Rose Theatre opened in 1915 and was renamed Roxie Theatre in 1936. A fire destroyed the building in 1940 and it was never rebuilt.
The Sanborn Insurance Maps of 1925 place the building at 120-122 Main Street. The Film Daily Yearbook of 1927 lists the Roxie Theatre with 400 seats.
