LOVE this theater. Its such a freeing experience for anyone looking to open up, live out and expose their fetishes, desires and fantasies. I visit the Fairmount every few months and its a true wonderland. The inside is what you expect and frankly, what you want. It speaks to the long-ago days of seedy porn shops, street walkers and peep shows. The lighting is perfect and although the movie selection is a bit dated, it provides the scene you would want. The guys here are giving, courteous and entertaining. There’s definitely someone for anyone here. I hope if it does get sold that the new owner keeps the theater going! Kisses! Stephanie
For a quicker direct link an October 2022 street view use “33 Main Street, New Haven, CT 06512” minus the word Annex.
Current owner wants to sell it as of 8/11/23.

I went there about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday night. I’m a dresser, and I’m told an attractive one. It was pretty much what I expected, a little worn down and aged. The clerk at the desk seemed nice enough. I paid my money and went into the theatre. It was dark, so I stood up the back letting my eyes adjust. Once I could see, I noticed two or three gentlemen standing in the back of the theatre, and just two more seated. I took off my long coat and one of the gentleman proceeded to walk me down to a seat in the front row. It was there that I thanked him for his assistance. I had a few other gentlemen come visit with me there as well. I had a great time and will be making the trip back as soon as I can!
Did this place start out as a legitimate movie theatre?
Need a date
The Fairmont theater is in the ‘Annex’ section of New Haven (not East Haven). I saw Horror of Party Beach there in 1964 (that film made in Stamford Ct.)
There are 106 seats in the Fairmount. I went in and asked. It’s shady, of course. Tinted doors. You walk in and there’s a mini-dvd/video store on both sides and a front counter with the auditorium behind. Lots of older men walking out, adjusting their belts.
Saw and ad in last week’s New Haven Advocate that this theatre is looking for employees!
Anyone out there who goes here still? Any links for us?
