Located in the north of the city centre. The Cinematographe Couchat was opened in 1908 and was designed by architect Abel Pennequin. In 1912 architect Marcel Oudin designed a balcony which increased the seating capacity to 800 and it was re-named Grand Cinema Ornano, operated by the Aubert chain. In 1933 it was reconstructed to the plans of architect Maurice Gridaine in a splendid Art Deco style and reopened as the Ornano 43. It was still open in 1975, but had closed by 1985.
In 2012 it operated as a supermarket in the orchestra level, while the balcony remained untouched and concealed still containing its seats. The supermarket had closed by April 2019. The building had been purchased by a real estate company and the auditorium was demolished in December 2019. The façade has been retained.
