The Star Theatre was opened by 1935 when it had 500 seats. By 1941 it was listed with 600 seats, and by 1950 it had 800 seats. It had to have been a major player in the movie theatres from its size and location. The theatre closed around 1956. The building has been completely redone and is in use today.
