Regal Cinemas opened the Charles Towne Square May 17, 1999. Amenities included stadium seating, digital projection and sound, RealD 3D, online ticketing and first run attractions. It was closed in 2019 and was demolished in January 2020 to be replaced by an apartment building.

Expect to see photos and seating capacities for this theater sometime between June 23 and June 26.
Can’t wait to see those pics! I’m curious as to how this theater will compare to the one in Sawgrass since this one opened around the same time they were finishing the renovation/expansion of that theater.

This multiplex is slated for demolition in early January, 2020. According to this article from The Post and Courier of Dec 20, 2019, it will be replaced by a 300-unit apartment complex. Regal’s lease expires January 1, and demolition will begin January 6. It was a rather short life for so large a theater.
This theater was demolished in January of this year.
