Starlight Drive-In

The Starlight Drive-In was open in 1950 with a car capacity of 391 cars. It was initially operated by the Miller Circuit. It was later operated by Stewart and Everett Theatres until its closing in the early-1980’s. A shopping plaza was built on the site of the former drive-in which included the Cinema Twin that would eventually be the Carmike Cinema 8.

Any additional information on the Starlight Drive-In would be appreciated.

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is now the address for the Carmike Cinema 8.

In current aerial views it looks like only half the property was developed. The other half you can still see the curve of the former drive in while looking at the mini forest north of the current cinemas.
