Lemoore Stadium Cinemas

John Roush of Central Coast Cinemas opened the six-screen, 850-seat Lemoore Cinemas on December 5, 2003. The Fresno Bee noted that it was the first theater in Lemoore since the 1960’s.

Roush, who had previously opened theaters in Paso Robles and Atascadero, received financial help from the city redevelopment agency. Four more screens, which added 438 seats opened in late-2007.

In December of 2011 the Hanford Sentinel reported the cinema became the second known theater in California to switch to solar power. The other is the Palm Theatre in San Luis Obispo. The 728 solar panels installed on the roof were expected to save the theater 70 to 80 percent of the $80,000 a year power bill.
