Located in Truro, Cornwall. This building was in use before 1913, mainly for music hall, but, increasingly, for the Bioscope. By 1922 it had become a full-time cinema, once nightly with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday, with programmes changed once a week. Initially equipped for talkies with British Acoustic, by around 1939 RCA Sound had been installed.
The cinema was adapted to show CinemaScope by the late-1960’s. Later on, part time bingo was introduced. It is not known when films finally ceased. Now known as Palace Buildings, it is in commercial and retail use. (Despite the date in the camera data, my photographs were taken in June 2013.)
