Located in Camborne, Cornwall. Also known as the Assembly Rooms, the Camborne Public Rooms were built in 1890 for public entertainment. The Electric Cinema opened in the building in about 1908. By 1915 it was being operated by H. Burrows' West of England Cinemas Ltd., which was also running the St. George’s Hall in the town. The Electric Cinema was never converted for sound, so presumably closed in the early-1930’s. In June 2013 (which, despite the camera data, is when my photograph was taken) the building appears to be disused. I understand a local campaigning group saved it from demolition.
