The Contra Costa Times notes that this has been an AMC Theatre since 2010. Regal Theatres originally opened the 3,100-seat cinema on May 13, 1999.
According to the Kansas City Business Journal, when AMC bought Kerasotes ShowPlace Theaters in 2010, they were required by the U.S. Justice Department to sell eight theaters in Chicago. These theaters were sold to Regal and as part of the deal AMC assumed control of a Regal Theatre in Antioch and Las Vegas. It was closed on July 7, 2019.

According to KPIX news, this theater was apparently scheduled to go through a $6.5 million renovation. But 2 weeks ago, AMC suddenly backed out of the deal, stating declining attendance and the theater losing money. After the final showings on Sunday night, AMC closed the theater, much to the surprise of Antioch moviegoers.
Somebody else will pick it up if the deal is right. As somebody who’s not from Anticoh, that whole shopping center seems like it was built in a weird part of town… don’t know that it meets with modern expectations the way the RAVE/AMC in Brentwood does.
This Theatre opened up as the Regal Theatre May 13, 1999 and around 2010 the name changed to AMC Theatre.
The Theatre closed on July 7, 2019.
It’s currently on the Real Estate Market being sold for $12Mil.
