The Cameo Theatre was opened on October 10, 1935. It was a couple doors from the larger Bailey Theatre. Seating was listed at 250. It was operated first by Saenger Theatres and then Southern Amusements Co. and closed in 1946 as a movie theatre. It was used for special events for a while after closing.

The Cameo Theatre opened either on or around October 10, 1935. It was closed in 1946 but briefly used as a special events house for a time.
