The Star Theatre opened in September 1909. In 1912 Cam Whitthorn was the manager. On October 9, 1913 J.C. Jordan took over as manager. In 1914 H.M. Arrow was manager, followed by W.G. Maupin. He went on to manage the Bell Theatre around 1917.

I’ve only found the Star Theatre mentioned twice in the early trade publications. The first was a brief letter from it’s operator, C. Whitthorne, to the Nestor Film Company of New York, praising their movie In Commissioned Ranks. This was published in the July 15, 1911, issue of The Moving Picture World.
The other mention is a brief item from the March 25, 1916, issue of the same publication: “Vallejo, Calif.—The Star theater, which has been closed for several months, has been re-opened by W. G. Maupin. This theater was formerly conducted by Mr. Maupin, who closed it when he took over the Bell Theater.”
It looks like W.G. Maupin not only at one time managed the Star Theatre but also the Bell theatre, and later the Repubilic theatre, after Gus Cohn left to manage the Empress theatre. Maupin in 1913 with Bert Levi circuit, managed the Republic theatre. He was documented as the manager of the Bell theatre in 1915, then was noted as reopening the Star theatre in 1916.
