And here it is, a great view of Auditorium #8 from the back row.

Varsity #8 was originally Auditorium #2 in the original 1974 Varsity Twin. Aside from adding then-new seating in 1998, this room is largely unchanged since its opening. This room premiered STAR WARS in Toronto along with countless other major screenings.

Screen is permanently fixed at 2.21:1 for 70mm film presentations, which Varsity re-installed in the mid 2010s when 70mm film made a comeback. For digital presentations, scope movies play slightly letterboxed at top and bottom and 1.85 flat presentations play paneled in at the sides.
