Actual opening date is June 14, 1951 with David Wayne in “Up Front” (I can’t confirm if any extras were added because the grand opening advertisement photo I found is in very low quality).
1956 photo added, original Century marquee on the right.
This theatre was built in 1951, by Twentieth Century Theatres, an important operating parter of Famous Players Canadian Corporation. It was a single theatre with 750 seats now a triple theatre with a total of 400 seats.
