The LaPlace Drive-In opened in 1953 and could accomodate 300 cars. The drive-in closed in 1976 and has since been demolished.

From the aerial photographs it appears to have closed at some point before 1965. A 1961 aerial shows the screen, but one from 1965 shows the screen is gone and no signs the drive-in was open.
All that remains is the foundation of the projector booth, concession stand.
