The LaPlace Drive-In opened in June or July 1952 and could accommodate 250-cars. It was operated by Bill Castay & Morris Terry. The drive-in closed in the mid-1960’s and had been demolished by the 1970’s.

From the aerial photographs it appears to have closed at some point before 1965. A 1961 aerial shows the screen, but one from 1965 shows the screen is gone and no signs the drive-in was open.

All that remains is the foundation of the projector booth, concession stand.

Opened in either June or July 1952, closed in the mid-1960s. It was already demolished in the early-1970s.

A closer address is 1041 E Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right on the entrance.

RV Masters now sits on the front part of the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining.
