Published postcard showing the grand frontage that in part housed the cinema entrance and foyer. Also seen is the actual cinema’s auditorium building that was behind, a less attractive utilitarian warehouse construction. Only half of the Western elevation wall of the former auditorium now remains behind the tennis court. The building, having been abandoned for decades was finally demolished in 1996 as part of works to renovate the former Marine Hotel into flats with rear gardens and car parking.
